DotSama is a term originated on twitter by the community and refers to the ecosystems of Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM), its canary network, in a single word.

Polkadot is a network protocol that allows arbitrary data transfer across blockchains (not just tokens). This means that Polkadot is a true multi-chain application environment where cross-chain registrations and cross-chain calculations are possible.

The structure of the Polkadot and Kusama networks are made up of parachains, parallel and customizable blockchain networks that make up the Polkadot network. Each of them can have its own architecture, so that it can be better adapted to other networks.
